The Pendennis Cup fleet has been confirmed at 13 yachts: Adela (55.5m), Athos (61.2m), Bare Necessities (24.8m), Bequia (27.6m), Breakaway (21.34m), Eleonora (49.5m), Firebrand (13.11m), Mariette (42m), Mariquita (38m), Mikado (12.5m), Tomahawk (14.8m), Unfurled (34m) and Velacarina (26m).

These will be separated into three classes. Class 3 will consist of the smaller yachts with a waterline less than 15m. Class 2 will group together the Bermudan-rigged with waterline length exceeding 15 metres, and Class 1 will consist of the Gaff-rigged yachts with waterline length exceeding 15 metres.

The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) and will take the format of a pursuit race with staggered start times allocated base on IRC ratings. This will provide a series of dramatic finishes as the fleet battles to the finish line located off Pendennis Point in Falmouth Bay.
