Broadcasting date: ZDF "Volle Kanne" on Friday, 15 August 2008, at 9.05 am.
The azure waters belong to the life in southern France just like spending time on board a motor or sailing yacht: From July on, the ZDF sequel „Habitation & Design“ introduces the extravagant architecture and the special lifestyle on the Côte d´Azur. As yachting expert and creative mind behind some innovative interior yacht designs, Herbert Dahm was interviewed for the ZDF programme.
On board Nanou, at anchor before Juan-les-Pins on the Côte d´Azur, the TV presenter Ann-Kathrin Otto immerges into the world of luxury yachts for one day. Herbert Dahm shows her that a spacious and luxurious motor yacht like the Benetti Tradition Nanou is by no means inferior to a mansion when it comes to comfort, luxury and interior design, for example: In the owner´s cabin guests gain a fantastic 180 degree panoramic view, just by automatically opening the curtains per remote control.
On board of Herbert Dahm´s legendary 2200M Inspiration, the world´s first cruiser-racer, the successful yachting-entrepreneur tells how he discovered his love for sailing. Herbert Dahm demonstrates some of his pioneering interior innovations that are today standard on board larger yachts: The dining table that opens out like a lotus flower by the touch of a button and the hydraulically operated transom hatch, becoming a bathing platform. Or the large double bed in the owner´s cabin that can be separated into two single berths, for comfort at sea, or made into two sofas for day use.
