The Yachting Pages Black and White Lounge 2010
On Friday 7th May Yachting Pages welcomed around 900 guests to the 3rd annual Yachting Pages Black and White Lounge. The event, which was open to captains and superyacht industry professionals, took place on the Quai des Milliardaires, Antibes.
Providing a stunning backdrop to the black and white themed event were some of the most impressive superyachts on the Mediterranean, including 126 metre Octopus and one of the largest private owned sailing yachts in the world, the Maltese Falcon.
First class entertainment, food and drink
To get the night off to a glamorous start, guests were chauffeured to the International Quay in limousines. On arrival, guests headed up the white carpet to the only seamless tent in France. The venue was complete with luxury black and white surroundings and white flowers.
Emergency Provisioning provided outstanding food for all the guests, offering a range of luxury cured meats; they even displayed their flambéing skills with Kobe beef. It was followed by a selection of exquisite sweets.
Drinks were once again provided by ANI Imports who offered guests Camitz sparking vodka, a unique and extraordinary 100% all natural and refreshing Sparkling Vodka made in Sweden. Champagne, wine and soft drinks were also available.
Guests were entertained by a DJ, saxophonist, dancing girls in transparent bubbles and much more. A violin duet played several sets throughout the night. Dressed in white and playing black electric violins, they enthralled the crowds with covers of classic and modern hits.
Just before midnight, the winner of the captain’s raffle was announced. The winner was awarded with an exclusive, personalised Rex 1933 watch, worth around 2,000€.
Attended by captains and superyacht professionals from all over the French Riviera
The Black and White Lounge welcomed hundreds of captains, engineers, chefs and senior crew from superyachts based all around the Riviera, including superyachts such as the 88 metre Maltese Falcon, 78 metre Montkaj. In total, captains from around 100 different superyachts requested invitations to the event.
The event also attracted hundreds of superyacht industry professionals and business owners, including representatives from Monaco Yacht Show, Edmiston, IYCA, Burger Boat Company, Fraser Yachts, YCO and many more.
