International yachting company Ocean Independence is proud to announce the opening of a dedicated Management Division to be located in their Swiss-based Uster office. Formed as a separate company, 'Ocean Management GmbH' has been inaugurated in response to the ever-increasing demand from their clients for professional and competent advice on new construction, refits and day-to-day yacht operations management. This includes providing ISM and ISPS support, large vessel transportation, and specialising in highly demanding projects such as classic restorations or post-accident recovery.

Ocean Management is run by Daniel Küpfer (Master Mariner), as Projects and Management Director. In addition, the in-house maritime lawyer, Hans H. Hürzeler, provides broad and prompt consultancy advice on all legal matters from contracts, company formation and administration to insurance, crewing, tax obligations and flag-state registration. The team has an impressive track record, including the highly acclaimed two year refit of the72m classic motor vessel Haida G, shortlisted for 'Best Refit' at the 2006 Boat International Superyacht Awards in Venice.
