Axel Douqué and Peter Hürzeler of the Ocean Independence Zürich office have listed the 38.50 metre Mariposa for sale with an asking price of € 9,800,000. The luxury motor yacht is designed by Studio Starkel and she features an interior by Joachim Kinder Yacht Design.
Mariposa was delivered in 2010 by Avangard Yachts, who also have built yachts such as the 35 metre sailing yacht Galatea and the 50 metre motor yacht Avangard II. The displacement yacht has a steel hull and aluminium superstructure and is built to Bureau Veritas classification.
Mariposa sleeps 10 guests in 1 Master, 2 VIP and 2 Twin cabins, and 6 crew members in 4 cabins. The superyacht is powered by twin 1,070hp MTU diesel engines which enable her to achieve a top speed of 14 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots.
The Research Vessel (RV) Pegaso just made her debut in Monaco and gave the world a glimpse into her Global Mission for Marine Conservation. Her oceanographic capabilities are impressive: 5-person Diver Lockout submarine, Ice Class notation, 10,000 nautical miles at 12 knots, wet/dry laboratory, and separate scientist quarters. Read More
