Superyacht Malibu for sale with Edmiston
Edmiston's Chris Cecil Wright has been appointed as the central agent for the sale of superyacht Malibu, one of the last of Amels acclaimed Tigre d’Or series, delivered in 2001 with Terence Disdale interiors.
Re-fitted in 2006 with contemporary metropolitan design by Reymond Langton featuring double-depth sofas, exotic animal hide fabrics and contrasting Macassar ebony with pale wood panelling, Malibu combines traditional craf tsmanship with a contemporary twist on clean, classic lines. The full-beam master suite lies forward on the main deck and is very roomy, as are the four guest cabins on the lower deck; two VIP queen cabins and two twins that also have pullman berths, bringing the guest quota to 12.
Outdoor deck space is similarly abundant; the sundeck has sunbathing pads, a wet bar and a large Jacuzzi. Its overhanging superstructure provides shade over the walk-around upper deck which also has plenty of room for outdoor dining, while the main af t deck is kept clutter-free as the tenders are stowed forwards, making room for cocktail tables. The large lazarette houses a huge array of watersports ‘toys’ from waverunners to kayaks and windsurfers. The main saloon has a large plasma TV and Kaleidescape system with Crestron controls; guest cabins also have TVs with DVD players and there are X-boxes and iPods to keep everyone occupied.
Malibu is an appealing yacht for many reasons; she comes from a well-respected shipyard, her contemporary interior design is understated and stylish using neutral tones which appeal to just about all tastes, her cabins are generously proportioned and ideal for family parties. A new owner would not have to do much to make her their own – and find little, if anything, they might wish to change.
Malibu is offered at € 21,500,000.
