Queenship of Canada commissioned JQB Ltd for the design of their new 73ft series. Also, a gorgeous 142ft new build design for Crescent Custom Yachts is currently under construction at the same Vancouver shipyard. And last but not least, the design studio has completed the preliminary designs for a new 64ft motor yacht for Horizon Yachts. Read More

In March Edmiston released information and drawings of the 72m Red Square, to be built by Dunya Yachts in Turkey. This impressive yacht is designed by the Monaco based design studio, Sterling Scott. We got in touch with Diana Scott and found out that although her studio may be very new, she has been in the industry for many years. Read More

Winners of best refit at the 2008 Superyacht Awards, Bannenberg Designs, have launched their new website today; www.bannenberg.com. The new site showcases many of Bannenberg's current and past projects, such as Illusion, Blue Bird, and their new 60m Trinity. The state-of-the-art website has been developed by Carter London, who also designed the current website of Edmiston & Co. Read More

Last year Igor Lobanov, a young Russian designer based in London, entered the superyacht scene with two spectacular designs. The Superyacht Designer Björn Johansson was killed tragically on Thursday 17th January on the Isle of Wight when his KTM 990 motorcycle was in collision with a bus in Ryde, he was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident. Björn, founded his company, Bjorn Johansson Design, in 2001 and in recent months has been expanding the firm following a string of highly successful commissions. Read More
