By Merijn de Waard The British design studio Bannenberg & Design is working with major shipyards around the world on many different superyacht projects. They are working with Baglietto on the interior of a 41 metre yacht, in the United States with Trinity Yachts on the design of a 60 metre motor yacht and other projects include two 60 metre Abeking & Rasmussen yachts, and an 85 metre Lürssen and two Benetti’s. Natori The first Bannenberg & Rowell / Baglietto collaboration for almost twenty years sees tropical olivewood, rosewood, parchment, shagreen and zebra skin all come together for a chic contemporary take on Italian design. Natori was launched in late February and will make her first public appearance at the upcoming MYBA Charter Show in Genoa. Abeking & Rasmussen 6481 Trinity T040 Next up for launching is the 60 metre Trinity T040, which will be launched in May for delivery in the Summer of 2009. “T040 will feature a low-key, Californian-inspired, interior based on strongly grained elm paneling, with extensive use of slate, limestone and bronze”, says Dickie Bannenberg. Recent Completions Besides the spectacular Predator, Bannenberg & Rowell also designed the interiors of three more superyachts in 2008; the 47 metre Heesen Elandess, the 46.5 metre Timmerman Alexandra and the 38 metre Dream On, which will be featured on SuperYachtTimes.com within the next few weeks. The first project of 2009, the Feadship SL39 Kathleen Anne, has just been delivered to her owner. More information on these and other projects can be found on the (updated) website of Bannenberg Designs.
