New 60 metre superyacht from Bill Prince Yacht Design
By Merijn de Waard
The centerpiece of this new Bill Prince designed superyacht will undoubtedly be the dramatic indoor/outdoor resort spaces on the maindeck, leading to a remarkable swimming pool which can turn into an open deck measuring over 65 sq. m (700 sq. ft.) at the touch of a button.
Advanced structural design allows for a “wall of glass” measuring 1.5m (5’) tall and 15m (50’) long on both sides of the full-beam main saloon and dining area. Hullside openings on either side of the pool house tenders and extensive diving equipment, and create an additional 22 sq.m (240 sq. ft.) of private water-level outdoor space while at anchor.
“This 60 metre superyacht is a “clean sheet” design catering to the 21st century yacht owner who requires features found on the world’s largest yachts in a more manageable size,” says Bill Prince.
The yacht will be able to accommodate up to 12 guests in 6 staterooms and sleeps 13/14 crew in six twin cabins and one captain. She will be powered by twin Caterpillar 3516B-DITA engines which enable her to achieve a top speed of 18 knots and a range of 5,000 nautical miles at cruising speed.
