Hakvoort to build 45-metre bluewater cruiser
Monday, 4 June 2007
Hakvoort Shipyard has announced a new order for an advanced 44.90-metre motoryacht, scheduled for launch in early 2011. Suitable for global bluewater cruising, the yacht will provide accommodation for 12 guests and 12 crewmembers.
Designed with a displacement-type hull shape, she will feature flared V-sections in the bow, large overhangs, a moderate deadrise amidships and a canoe stern. Her lines will be kept very low, in particular where the freeboard and superstructure are concerned. The main deck will feature the main tender at starboard side, a bathing platform admidships and a large tender garage on the foredeck. Located on a raised area forward on the main deck, the wheelhouse will feature a state-of-the-art integrated bridge arrangement. Service logistics are a priority, and the well-equipped galley will ensure fine cuisine for 12 in the dining room.
The upper deck will be reserved for the owners, with a dedicated lounge that opens onto a lovely aft space. Other highlights include a study with Pullman bed and a full-beam stateroom with luxurious his and her bathrooms. Fine ensuite accommodations will also be found on the lower deck, which will contain four guest staterooms, a captain’s cabin and a nanny’s cabin. Crew quarters include a well-equipped mess, four comfortable cabins and smart connections to storage areas and technical spaces. The sundeck will feature a dumbwaiter station, three sunbathing areas, an outdoor shower, bar facilities and a whirlpool bath. L.o.a. 44.9 m. / 147’3” ft. Launch January 2011
