Amico & Co recently installed a brand new 835 tons travel lit, the biggest in the word of yachting.This new Travel Lift allows to haul out mega yacht up to 60mt LOA.

The presentation of this new Travel Lift is for Amico & Co a big opportunity to show the shipyard and its activities: 30.000 m2 of yard area, 10 fully equipped refit sheds with overspray recovering system and up to 75mt LOA, the new equipped technical marina to moor yacht up to 120mt LOA. 240 employees (50% permanent) and 51 external companies and skilled partners operate in Amico & Co yard. From 2005 the shipyard is certified ISO 14001.

The yard generates, as services, 40.000 crew and management presences per year ( more or less 100/200 daily presences) as well as the “passage” of 160 yachts per year in the Genoese marinas.

The 85% of the turnover is “exported” , thanks the excellent reputation in the international field, in fact the majority of clients comes from abroad above all from North Europe, America, Middle East and Africa.

The numbers confirm the Amico & Co position, thanks to the demanding business plan in which 5milion Euro were involved during 2007- 2008 and 6,4 million Euro in 2009-2010 for the main part invested in the Travel Lift.

The 2010-2011 business plan expect further investments in facilities which are essential to keep being in the market and to maintain the current leading position.
