ICON Yachts is THE new Dutch yacht builder in the top luxury segment.

A revolutionary building concept and in-depth pre-engineering enables ICON Yachts to offer super yachts with a shorter building time at a very competitive price. Icon Yachts are truly custom yachts, built on an optimized technical and operational platform. The possibilities are sheer endless.

The shipyard, situated in Harlingen, is about twenty years old and is located on reclaimed land outside of locks and bridges with direct open water access. The facilities include a huge covered dry-dock with space for yachts up 150 meters long and a 4500 ton Synchrolift.

The philosophy of ICON Yachts is to produce yachts from 60 to 150 meters, to the best Northern European standards. Each ICON Yacht is built on a fully engineered standard platform onto which each buyer can realise his own specific ideas for exterior styling and luxury interior living spaces. The critical operational areas and systems are completely thought out and all necessary provisions are incorporated into the ship’s structure.

The ‘ICON WAY’ is to move production hours away from the yacht into specialised workshops. After completion of Factory Acceptance Tests, the technical, electronic- and interior modules are then installed in a clean shipboard environment. Standardisation of technical-, service- and crew areas allows us to start pre-fabricating these components modules simultaneously with production of the hull and superstructure, which results in short construction periods.

ICON Yachts is co-operating with the best sub-contractors to ensure the highest possible quality. Production of the ICON yachts is monitored and controlled in accordance with ISO-9001:2008 certified quality control procedures.

With regards to sustainability the yard which is positioned on the edge of a world heritage nature reserve is awarded as being the greenest in the industry. Also our yachts are fitted with numerous energy saving measures and can be regarded as progressively green. In our consultations with RINA on the designation of the ‘Green Yacht Plus’ Label we would pass easily with any future projects.

ICON Yachts Bv also offers unique Large Super Yacht and Commercial Vessel refit and service facilities with open water access for yachts up to 160 meter length and 7 metres draft. The yard has already undertaken a number of projects outside the new build sector.

The relatively young company is managed by accomplished individuals who bring in their own specific knowledge and experience: Their dedication and drive is reflected in the organization of the company around a key team of Technical Specialists each with matching knowledge and enthusiasm about a specific aspect of the yacht and ship building construction process.

ICON Yachts continues to gain momentum delivering the second new build 63m to its owners this year. Debuting at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show, the latest creation, the Tim Heywood styled large volume 6-deck Baton Rouge attracted widespread interest. With a sophisticated interior design by Redman Whiteley Dixon, the clients created a truly unique and accomplished yacht, built on the proven ICON optimized technical platform concept.
