Finnish shipyard Baltic Yachts have signed a contract for the construction of a custom 78 ft motor yacht. The M/Y 78 will benefit from the shipyard’s experience in building high performance composite sailing yachts such as the mighty Hetairos, the recently delivered Nikata and the regatta-regular WinWin.
The yard collaborated with well known naval architect Germán Frers to create a powerful and lightweight cruiser capable of undertaking long voyages. Her design will deliver a comfortable ride with able to reach a top speed of 25 knots.
With an interior designed by Design Unlimited, the layout has been optimised to house two separate saloon spaces, one for dining and another at deck level for lounging. All accommodation areas are situated below deck including the two crew cabins, two guest cabins amidships and a master suite in the bow.
The project is overseen by Project Manager Roberto Martinez of Martinez Consulting which is expected to be delivered in the summer of 2017.
