A closer look at Turquoise Yachts’ 56m ice-class explorer

Construction on Turquoise Yacht’s 56-metre modern classic superyacht started in the third quarter of 2016 in Istanbul. The yacht is the shipyard’s first collaboration with designer André Hoek from Hoek Design who designed the interior and exterior of the yacht. Vickers Studio in the U.K. are the interior stylists of the project. Delivery is on track for a February 2019 handover.

With a distinctive old school exterior, the project is designed and being built to the most modern standards to safely cruise the world. Her ice-class notation will allow her passage to territories where no other Turquoise Yacht has ventured before. An advanced diesel-electric propulsion system also means she will be one of the yard’s eco friendliest projects to date. Large storage and family-sized interior volumes will make long voyages not only manageable, but also enjoyable.

Her interior stands in contrast to the exterior profile of the yacht with a highly contemporary interior with a few classic touches added for familiarity.
