The Gulf’s first dedicated megayacht show, the Abu Dhabi Yacht Show, has announced the appointment of Fabien Hauret, strengthening the sales team for the show as world wide interest from exhibitors reaches an exciting level. Fabien is highly experienced in yacht management and promotion and brings with him an exceptional understanding of the market. Based in Geneva he is ideally located to handle growing interest in this prestigious show from the European Megayacht shipyards and service operators.
In tandem with his duties for the Show, Fabien will also represent the World Yacht Racing Forum which will take place in Monaco during December 2008. Both the Forum and the Abu Dhabi Yacht Show are initiatives of the Informa Yacht Group, owners of the Monaco Yacht Show.
After obtaining a Master’s Degree in Sports Management, Fabien worked for leading companies in sponsorship and promotion. He spent a year as Sales Manager for the importer of “Grand Soleil” yachts in France, during which time he organised the Paris and Cannes Boat Show for the Company. On the water he has raced at the highest level of Maxi yachts, and joins the Abu Dhabi Yacht Show from Pro-Sailing, the corporate sailing event company.
Fabien’s first task was to introduce the Abu Dhabi Yacht Show to visitors at the recent Antibes Yacht Show, where a number of Megayacht companies were attracted by the massive new market on offer in the Gulf region.
The Abu Dhabi Yacht Show will take place in March 2009 and brings the world’s leading Megayacht shipyards and service suppliers to one of the fastest growing markets for their products. Exhibition space will be both on-water in a dedicated pontoon area and in the superb adjacent Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
