Arcadia Yachts’ new Sherpa model at sea

After introducing their new entry model ‘Sherpa’ to the industry at the Boot Düsseldorf event in January this year, Arcadia Yachts’ new mini explorer yacht has taken to the waters around Capri for the first time. The new 55-footer is a step away from the conventional and offers interested parties with a variety of uses and ways to spend their time on board.

At 16.8 metres and with a beam of 5.5 metres, Sherpa is able to offer a tender garage with a volume of 247 cubic feet which is remarkably large for a vessel of this size.

The yacht comes with the option of two different superstructure options; an open deck for day cruising, and a salon deck that has been designed for long distance cruising.

In partnership with Volvo Penta, Arcadia yachts have developed a highly efficient hull that is improved by new technical studies.

The production of Sherpa forms part of the Italian yard’s recent extension in their GRP-constructed range, with remaining models 85, 100 and 115 completing the line. Sherpa continues Arcadia’s focus on eco-friendliness and fuel efficiency by offering a fuel consumption of just 43litres/hour at a displacement speed of 12 knots.
