On Saturday March 1 Royal Van Lent, in the presence of her owners and hundreds of invited guests, celebrated the christening of hull 798, M.Y. Archimedes. Although she will not leave her dock yet, she did make a shy debut yesterday.
The classic styled Archimedes is a 67.75 meter yacht with interior and exterior design by John Munford and naval architecture by De Voogt Naval Architects.
The yacht is powered by twin Caterpillar 3516B DI-TA diesels with a total power of 4.000 hp and built in accordance with Lloyds Register. Archimedes will be finished inside the yard over the next few weeks, before she will head out to open sea.
