The Benetti Livorno yard has unveiled a new custom 50 metre series, the FB 800 series. The first superyacht, FB801, features a fibreglass hull and an aluminium superstructure.
The combination of fibreglass and aluminium creates maximum design flexibility, and thus customisation of layouts and style, with a significant advantage in tonnage, keeping the yacht under 500 tonnes.
Just a few weeks after introducting the new series to their clients, the first in the series, FB 801, was sold to an existing Benetti client.
