It took the team of 40 firefighters until the following morning to tackle the blaze, with concerns of the fire spreading to neighbouring yachts in the shipyard.Black diamond yacht wreck at IMS300 yardPhoto: Xavier LegayFortunately no one was onboard the yacht at the time of the blaze, which was in the same location that a man lost his life last year during a yacht fire. The local police and fire teams are now working to determine the cause of the fire, as well as to protect the local environment from pollution leaking from the husk of the yacht. No other vessels have been reported to have been damaged in the fire. Black diamond yacht wreck at IMS300 yardPhoto: Xavier LegayThe yacht Black Diamond was launched in 2010 at the UK-based shipyard. She had a volume of 95 GT and featured exterior design from the longtime Sunseeker design partner Don Shead Yacht Design. She had a sport exterior aesthetic and a top speed of 42 knots to match. Able to accommodate as many as eight guests the motor yacht featured a four stateroom layout.  Black Diamond yacht cruisingPhoto: Wild Group International
