BlackCat Superyachts continues performance multihull range

After first unveiling their 50-metre multihull concept in April last year, Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design has added a second addition to BlackCat Superyachts’ ‘supercat’ line. The new 35-metre version is once again the result of Olympic sailor and BlackCat Superyachts founder, Mitch Booth and designer Malcolm McKeon’s collaboration.

To be built completely from carbon fibre, BlackCat 35 spans 14 metres across, providing an exceptional platform for entertainment and outdoor living. The interior is spacious too, with accommodation for up to eight guests in six cabins including quarters for four crew members.

She is designed to be ultra efficient with the sails up or under power. Cruising speed will be around 20 knots with the BlackCat 35 capable of reaching 32 knots when pushed to the limit. Despite these high-performance figures, the yacht is still designed with relaxed family life in mind and offers a significantly more stable experience underway or at anchor than a monohull of the same length, or even larger.

BlackCat Superyachts' team of specialists include award-winning boatbuilder Baltic Yachts - a world leader in carbon composite yachts, and North Technology Group, who will provide and optimise the sails and rig package. Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design remains the chief designer on this project, and M2 Atelier are responsible for the internal styling. Y.CO has recently been appointed to handle all BlackCat sales enquiries.
