What is on offer?
Following the completion of her year-long refit at Icon Yachts last year, the 77.4-metre explorer yacht Legend has been met with industry-wide acclaim. Beginning life in 1974 as an icebreaking passenger ship, Diana Yacht Design undertook the redesign of her exterior areas as well as her naval architecture, whilst Thom Beerens and Jan Verkerk were responsible for her interior design. Amongst the impressive list of works undertaken, her stern was lengthened by 3.6 metres, whilst her mast was rebuilt and her superstructure completely redesigned to make her a sleeker, more attractive yacht for charter guests. Her long list of on board amenities includes a large swimming pool and Jacuzzi, a fitness room, cinema room, bar and music corner.
She accommodates up to 26 guests over 13 cabins, including an expansive owner’s suite located on the private owner’s deck, two VIP suites, five double and five twin cabins. A crew of 19 is also accommodated for on board, with room for an additional 10 to form an exploration crew for more extensive expeditions.
Why do we think this is such a great deal?
A 7,640 nautical mile range, together with her Class I Icebreaker classification and assets including a commercial helideck, submarine and two snowmobiles ensure that almost nowhere in the world is off limits for Legend. Having visited all corners of the earth already, she is eminently suited to those looking for an unforgettable adventure. Huge amounts of onboard storage space have allowed for an extensive collection of toys and tenders, offering her guests the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of on water and onshore activities, whilst onboard amenities include a Balinese spa, whiskey lounge and piano bar.
