Pershing is making good progress with its largest motor yacht and first all-aluminium project to date at the Ferretti Group facility in Ancona, Italy. The 42-metre Pershing 140 was recently moved into a dedicated build shed where the flagship will be completed ahead of its completion in 2018.
Now inside its final completion area, Pershing will work at assembling the superstructure blocks on top of the hull. The outfitting of the technical and guest areas will follow shortly after.
“The Pershing 140 is the epitome of over thirty years of state-of-the-art yacht building, always a wave ahead of everyone else in terms of innovative style and design, standard of comfort and sailing performance,” had Ferretti Group CEO Stefano De Vivo to say about the project.
The project is designed by architect Fulvio De Simoni who worked together with the Ferretti Group Product Strategy Committee. The Pershing 140 will be fitted with four MTU M96L engines that is expected to deliver a top speed of just under 40 knots.
