Burgess have announced their appointment as the central agent for the sale of the 85 metre ‘Z’. She is currently under construction at Marco Yachts in Chile and is scheduled for completion in 2010. Both the exterior and interior of Z have been designed by Ken Freivokh.
The steel hulled superyacht will be built to Lloyds rules and with her length of 85.3 metres, beam of 14.8 metres and draft of 4.5 metres she offers her guests and owner ample interior space. Z will be able to accommodate 14 guests in 1 master suite and 6 guest staterooms and she will be manned by a crew of 24.
Z is powered by twin Caterpillar engines, each delivering 2,485hp, enabling the superyacht the cruise at a comfortable speed of 17 knots. Her range of 6,000 nautical miles at 14 knots ensures she can reach any desirable destination without refueling.
Marco Yachts has a rich history in the design and construction of long range vessels. In the past they have been responsible for the construction of the support yacht Golden Shadow and besides Z, they are working on two other superyachts, the 75 metre Gin Tonic II and another 85 metre motor yacht.
