What is on offer?
Built by Dutch shipyard Oceanco in 1993 and originally measuring 49.8 metres, the now 56 metre superyacht The Wellesley underwent an extensive rebuild project completed earlier this year. She features exterior design from Gerhard Gilgenast, with interior design undertaken by Donald Starkey in collaboration with Dennis Irvine Studio.
On board she accommodates up to 12 guests in several luxurious cabins, including an expansive upper deck master suite and main deck VIP cabin. Performance wise, she is powered by twin MTU engines, providing her with a maximum speed of 17 knots, a cruising speed of 14 knots, and a range of 6,2000 nm.
Why do we think this is such a good deal?
Having completed a long list of refit works just this year in Turkey with the owner's team, The Wellesley is one of the most interesting additions to the charter market, presented in fantastic condition with all the comfort and luxury on board one would expect.
Highlights include a cigar friendly club room, a large beach club and outdoor cinema, as well as the presence of her award-winning chef, ensuring the finest dining experiences daily. Deck spaces on board are also a particular highlight, with expansive outdoor areas ideal for entertaining in style - demonstrated earlier this week at the Antigua Charter Yacht Show, where The Wellesley hosted a large party on board.
When is she available?
After enjoying a successful Mediterranean charter season this summer, The Wellesley will be spending the winter months chartering in the Bahamas and Caribbean, including the Leeward, Windward and Virgin Islands. Weekly rates start at a price of $220,000 in low season, and $260,000 throughout high season.
