Admiral Tecnomar & Dobroserdov Design have shared more information about the The E-motion superyacht series. In 2013, whilst working on client’s projects, Dobroserdov embodied his vision in the new E-motion series; a fleet of hybrid super yachts addressing the needs of modern owners and delivering true eco & family-friendly yachting.
The 52 meter semi-displacement yacht will have a light aluminum hull and a revolutionary hybrid power system with four MAN V12-1800 (1324kW) main diesel engines and two (150kW) electric propulsion systems. The combination of these systems will push the yacht to a top speed of 25 knots, impressive for a boat of this size. Also remarkable is that when using only electric motors the yacht, at a speed of 10 knots, will only consume 95 liters per hour with an impressive range of 6.000 nm. For more efficiency she is equipped with Servogear controllable pitch propellers and a modern variable-speed Northern Lights generator.
The 55 meter is a full displacement yacht with 2 master cabins and 4 guest cabins, capable of reaching a top speed of 17 knots using both diesel and electric power and 9 knots running just on electric power.
Both yachts feature a full beam SPA area on the lower deck with sauna, hammam and a massage room that have direct access to the sea via a folding side platform.
The whole concept, as well as the clean modern exteriors, are the work of Dobroserdov Designs in Monaco. The naval architecture is by Vripack of the Netherlands and Admiral Tecnomar yard’s own engineers.
Arch. Campanino says: "We aimed to design a classical yacht preserving all the traditional interior features, such as big spaces, comfortable proportions and functional layouts, yet dressing it all with a sporty-glam external look that winks at the automotive world in terms of flowing lines and elegant vintage details, plus a style hint at the Phoenicians warriors elms in the eyed-bow profile". The outcome is a strong design superyacht that does not go unnoticed while maintaining an high level of sleek expressivity, for those who are confident about themselves and have no fear to go forward common taste".
The launch of both Dobroserdov design 52 and 55 meter yachts is scheduled for spring 2016, in the meantime Dobroserdov Design already has another project on the drawing board for Admiral Tecnomar yard in Carrara, for a 140 diesel-electric mega yacht.
