Burgess will present the spectacular 60m (196.9ft) superyacht Cloud 9 as Worldwide Central Agents for sale and charter on the occasion of the Singapore Yacht Show (10 – 13 April 2014).
Winner of the 2010 ShowBoats Design Awards for Exterior Design and Styling, her distinctive naval livery of dark blue hull and gleaming white superstructure is complemented by an elegant and contemporary interior, offering luxurious but relaxed living. Both exterior styling and interior design were created by celebrated superyacht designer Andrew Winch.
Cloud 9’s elegant contemporary interior combines warm woods and rich marbles with a restful palette of neutral tones, providing over 500m² of living areas for entertaining in both formal and casual settings, with impressive headroom throughout. A sparkling central circular staircase in the main foyer rises up to the upper deck, spiraling around a stunning glass sculpture centrepiece. Full height picture windows in the main and upper deck saloons provide unobstructed views, creating an environment filled with natural light. The upper saloon doubles as a cinema lounge and leads directly to an ingeniously conceived inside/outside panoramic dining arrangement surrounded by sliding glass panels, with seating for up to 14 guests. 200m² of deck space provides a wealth of facilities for outdoor living, including the 65m² sundeck featuring shaded al fresco dining, a jacuzzi surrounded by sunpads, a wet bar, barbecue, shower and day head, while the huge sunbed aft allows uninterrupted views over the stern.
Beautifully conceived accommodation is provided for 12 to 14 guests in seven cabins (restricted to a maximum of 12 guests on charter). The vast, open-plan owner’s duplex suite lies on the main deck forward and offers every facility in complete seclusion, with an elevated observation lounge forward, owner’s office, his and hers bathrooms and separate dressing rooms. An impressive VIP suite is located on the port side of the bridge deck with a private terrace which is accessed directly via sliding doors. Four guest cabins are positioned off a central atrium on the lower deck and are configured as four doubles, two of which adapt to a twin configuration. A well-equipped gymnasium is located on the bridge deck and is designed to convert into a massage therapy room or a twin cabin with two pullman berths and ensuite bathroom.
Twin Caterpillar diesel engines enable Cloud 9 to cruise comfortably at about 15 knots, while her wide beam displacement hull and four active Quantum stabilisers make for a particularly comfortable ride at sea. Cloud 9 carries a wide range of tenders and water toys in her huge transom garage. Inside, the yacht is equipped with a Kaleidescape system and modern communications including SatCom with VOIP and Fleet 77. An impressive and consistently successful charter track record also brings superb commercial potential for a new owner.
