The Stabilis Electra, the revolutionary system stabilizer fins with electrical actuator studied, developed and patented by CMC Marine, is becoming a familiar sight on superyachts. Since the first system installation, which took place one year ago on a San Lorenzo 82, 20 systems have been ordered by leading shipyards.
Sanlorenzo, Benetti, Dominator, Cantiere delle Marche, and dutch shipyard Moonen have all chosen the Stabilis Electra. In fact, the selected stabilization system for the 82’ Alu, the new 25 meters aluminum yacht Moonen is building at its Hertogenbosch yard, in the Netherlands, is the Stabilis Electra with 1.00 sqm fin.
Today the range of Stabilis Electra consists of two models, the 18BR for boats from 24 to 35 meters and 16BR for boats from 18 up to 24 meters, recently presented and already installed on two Sanlorenzo SL72. Larger models are being drawn up, for applications on yachts from 35 meters up.
