Construction progresses on 70m Benetti superyacht, Alkhor

Benetti has provided an update on the construction work of its latest 70-metre superyacht project, FB273 Alkhor. In August, at the yard’s facilities in Livorno, the steel hull and aluminium superstructure were joined together on the new superyacht which is scheduled to be launched in the summer of 2019.

Alkhor will feature indoor and outdoor entertaining spaces across six decks. The main deck contains a large swimming pool and sunbathing areas on the bow area, whilst on the sky deck a custom glass-floor jacuzzi is found, acting as a skylight and illuminating the elevator and stairwell. For outdoor dining, the sun deck offers owners and guests an open-air dining area of 60 square metres.

The owner’s suite is located on the upper deck and features an office and a private terrace with sweeping views of the sea.

Guests will be accommodated oversix double guest cabins on the lower deck, with a crew of 12 accommodated over nine cabins.

Twin 2,400 hp Caterpillar engines provide the yacht with a range of 5,000 nautical miles, a cruising speed of 12 knots, and a top speed of 16 knots.
