Denison Yacht Sales, a full-service yacht brokerage and charter firm based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, has opened a new office on the U.S. West Coast. Located in the Los Angeles area on the waterfront in Marina del Rey, California, amid more than 5,000 boat slips, the new office provides Denison’s full range of services.

The new location is part of an overall strategy to position the company for greater market share as the economy begins to emerge from the current downturn. “I see good potential for medium- and long-term growth in the yacht brokerage industry for those who can embrace change and shed old ways of doing business,” said Denison.
The office is located in the scenic Fisherman’s Village section of Marina Del Rey – a replica of a New England seaport and fishing town with beautiful marina views, great restaurants and shops and a sea of boat slips, all within walking distance. “It’s great to be greeted by pelicans in the morning and hear sea lions in the distance,” said Denison. “We could have put our office anywhere, but our team and our clients are really passionate about the sea, and this location speaks to that passion.”
The Marina Del Rey office includes five licensed and bonded brokers: Nereus Dastur, Bob Leslie, Gordon Passey, Bill Peterson and Paul Swanlund. “We have a very strong team in place, with extensive experience and contacts throughout the West Coast,” said Denison.
