Liechtenstein-based yachting brand Dominator Yachts have announced that it is developing a new 38-metre model in its Ilumen range of motor yachts that has been commissioned by a repeat owner. The announcement was made last week in an open letter from the owner, Mr Terry Giles, in which he confirmed that his 28-metre Kalliente is for sale and will build a second vessel with Dominator.
“We loved the Ilumen so much, and Kalli [Terry's wife] was so excited, that we realised we want to make yachting a bigger part of our life,” writes Giles. “So we have entered into an agreement to buy an Ilumen 38M Tri-Deck from Dominator. We are working now on the plans for this special model that Dominator is designing to fit our unique needs, which includes being equipped for US waters.”
Living in Houston, Texas, the Giles family is now working on repairing their home and community which was affected in the recent hurricane Harvey. “Therefore, we have been freeing Dominator and Bluewater up to sell M/Y Kalliente to a new customer, while allowing us to upgrade into a new construction of the Ilumen 38M Tri-Deck,” continues Giles.
