Following her departure from the Abeking &amp; Rasmussen shipyard in Germany earlier this month, the brand new explorer yacht Cloudbreak has arrived in Iceland as her first stop on her global discovery tour. From here the 72.5 metre yacht is to cross the North Atlantic and head north to cruise the waters around Greenland. Her military styling with matching grey paint job is the work of designer Espen Oeino, with her high volume interior having been created by Paris based interior designer Christian Liaigre. The project was secured by SuperYachts Monaco, who was also in charge of overseeing the build process on behalf of the owner and is now making the yacht available for select charters as part of her exciting circumnavigation voyage.

The yacht sails under the Russian flag and is managed under SCF Management Services of Cyprus, the same company which is listed as the yacht’s operator. This company is a subsidiary of the UAE entity SCF Management Services Dubai, which is owned by the Russian shipowner, operator and ship manager PAO Sovcomflot of St. Petersburg.According to a ship register based on her class society records, the most recent registered owning company is Argument JSC, a company registered in Russia, which has been listed since April 2021. Many publications allege that work on <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/466" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Kosatka82.0m (269'0&quot;)Blohm & Voss GmbH2014">Graceful</a> was incomplete and that the vessel had turned off her AIS (Automatic Identification Systems) when she departed.Two weeks later on the morning of 24 February 2022, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine and began occupying more of the country, creating the biggest conflict in Europe since World War II.&nbsp;The yacht remained out of radar for AIS signals from 30 August 2022.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/398948/image/large-0fc69413eb21b942a0468e9a6dbeffd0.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/398948"><h2>Was the yacht Graceful renamed to Kosatka: The Killer Whale?</h2>In October 2022, Forbes published images of the yacht taken off the coast of Estonia, where she appeared to display the name Kosatka, which translates to 'Killer Whale' in Russian. The images were verified by Forbes to be from Carl Groll via <a href="http://theyachtphoto.com" target="_blank">TheYachtPhoto.com</a>, however, the name change was never conclusively confirmed through official ship registries and she still displays <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/466" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Kosatka82.0m (269'0&quot;)Blohm & Voss GmbH2014">Graceful</a> on AIS.&nbsp;The new images of the yacht taken by Frank Behling do not clearly show her name, so it is unclear whether she is currently displaying the name Kosatka or <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/466" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Kosatka82.0m (269'0&quot;)Blohm & Voss GmbH2014">Graceful</a>. However, the yacht can be seen with nets on her decks, possibly to prevent the attack of drones. The yacht currently shows a destination of Istanbul, Turkey, but it remains unknown if this is true. As the route is currently unknown, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/466" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Kosatka82.0m (269'0&quot;)Blohm & Voss GmbH2014">Graceful</a> could also travel to the Black Sea and change to her home port in Russia.
