Earlier today, Koninklijke De Vries Scheepsbouw launched hull 677; 53.50 metre Hurricane Run. She is the first Feadship to be launched in 2009. To follow the tradition of her owner's previous and current yacht, Thunder Gulch and High Chaparral, Hurricane Run is also named after a winning race horse. De Voogt designed her exterior as a development of a well proven concept, creating an elegant and sleek looking superyacht.
Hurricane Run's striking interior is designed by Terence Disdale, who created a bright and contemporary design, which promises to be a sensation. She offers accomodation for up to 12 guests in six cabins, including a large owner's cabin forward on the main deck. Her full-width upperdeck salon opens up to a large aft deck, creating a stunning indoor/outdoor living area.
Other features include a huge sun deck, with a large Jacuzzi and sunbathing area. The sundeck is divided in two areas by full windbreak doors.
The owner is represented by Alex Lees-Buckley of Camper & Nicholsons International. Hurricane Run will join the CNI charter fleet after delivery, under the command of her experienced captain, Emile Coetzee.
