First Picchiotti-Vitruvius superyacht nearing completion

The Picchiotti Vitruvius 50 metre superyacht, the first of three motor yachts sold to date by the Perini Navi Group, is ready for her launch, which is scheduled in the first week of July. The motor yacht was transported from one of the three new building sheds, each measuring 3,200 square metre, to the square outside, from where she will be fully completed for her launch.

Giancarlo Ragnetti, CEO of the Perini Navi Group, commented: "It’s a moment of great pride and satisfaction to see the first motor boat in the history of Perini Navi with the Picchiotti brand completed and ready for launching. The second shed of the shipyard is occupied by the second Picchiotti Vitruvius motor yacht, which is in an advanced stage of construction. The 55 metre superyacht is being built according to ABS Ice-Class standards and plans to make the passage from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean through the Arctic archipelago of Canada. Delivery is expected in 2011.

The hull of the third Picchiotti motor yacht, measuring 73 metres, is currently under construction at the Perini Navi Group Yildiz (Istanbul, Turkey) shipyard. After completion she will be transported to the La Spezia facility where she will be completed. The delivery of the Picchiotti Vitruvius 73 metres is expected in 2013.
