Heesen's new 47m superyacht Ruya sold to American client

Heesen Yachts has today announced the sale of the 47-metre new build project, Ruya. Her new owner is an experienced American yachtsman, and will take delivery of the yacht on June 19th. She features an interior design from Bannenberg & Rowell Design, with Omega Architects undertaking her exterior design.

The client was introduced by Thom Conboy, Heesen’s US representative, who worked closely with the in-house sales team to close the deal in record time and marking the Dutch shipyard’s third sale of 2017. Heesen comments: “Project Ruya is yet another superb example of Heesen’s commercial strategy: thanks to its solid financial foundation, the shipyard is able to anticipate the construction of new projects in order to significantly reduce delivery times.

Ruya’s new owner will spend the summer season cruising the Mediterranean before heading to Monaco where she will be on display at the Monaco Yacht Show, and then to Florida where she will be on display at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

Heesen Yachts and Bannenberg & Rowell Design are two of the prestigious Partners to SuperYacht Gallery, hosted in London’s Saatchi Gallery from 1st - 3rd June.
