Heesen unveils new superyacht project 17850

Dutch shipyard Heesen Yachts has recently unveiled a new all-aluminium 50 metre superyacht project. Named Project 17850 for now, her design appears to be based upon the design of Sibelle, which was delivered to her owner earlier this month.

Project 17850, designed by Omega Architects, distils superlative fuel efficiency, remarkable performance, and luxurious comfort into a design package of under 500 gross tons. She boasts an eye-catching superstructure, vertical bow and spacious aft platform with a wide staircase leading to the main deck.

In light of the announcement, Heesen have also launched a competition to name the new vessel. The winner will be invited to attend the Monaco Yacht Show in September, and the chosen name will be used until the yacht is christened upon completion in 2017.
