Inevitable pleasure

Feadship used the occasion of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show to present a special model to the delighted owner of Inevitable (ex-Mi Gaea). A recently completed rebuild at the Koninklijke De Vries Scheepsbouw refit yard in Makkum (NL) saw the yacht extended by 2.50 meters (8’2”) to 49.80 meters (163’5”). Her allnew interior was designed by Patrick Knowles.

On behalf of the workforce, Makkum yard director Sijbrand de Vries handed over the model of the yacht, clearly showing her distinctive new dark-blue hull. “This is a glorious surprise and the model is simply superb,” said Inevitable’s owner Mr. Richard Hull. “Since taking delivery, many people have said that they cannot believe that our yacht is not new. She certainly feels like it.”

The 18-month project involved an all-new classically styled interior with blond teak raised and fielded paneling. Other major changes included an extension of the bridge deck lounge and the sun deck.

The rebuild of Inevitable follows three acclaimed refits of the Feadships Siran, Utopia and Aurora since the new facility in Makkum opened in 2005. Feadship has decided that Makkum will be the preferred Feadship refit yard in future, while also building large new Feadships such as the recently launched Ocean Victory.
