Four years after its founding the Isle of Man Yacht Forum has announced new pro-tem officers. This announcement precedes the next general meeting at which the Forum will be planning new initiatives to promote the growing number of superyacht service providers based in the Isle of Man.
Robert Tobin of DÖhle Private Marine Clients Ltd., an Isle of Man based large yacht support company, is the Forum’s new Chairman.
He commented: “The Isle of Man Yacht Forum has come a long way in the last four years and has played a significant role in identifying and packaging the marketing mix of the member companies and creating a promotional platform for the Forum. We now have over thirty members whose activities include; trust and corporate service providers, legal and tax specialists, yacht managers, IT services, crew recruitment, yacht finance, technical services, insurance and marine management consultancy. Indeed, it would be hard to find another jurisdiction which could provide such a range of specialised quality services."
“Amongst our activities we have developed a website and creative materials which promote the Island as a centre of excellence for superyacht management. Jointly and severally we have attended numerous international conferences and shows during which we have all promoted the Island as a leading centre for this rapidly growing, high profile industry.”
The new pro-tem officers are:
Robert Tobin - Chairman - DÖhle Private Clients
Bransom Bean - Vice Chairman - Fine Focus Ltd
Lisa Osland - Treasurer - Abacus
Olivia Berry - Secretary - Simcocks Yachts
Mike Dean - Marketing/Promotions - Equiom
Concluded Mr Tobin: “We intend that the Forum will continue to develop and grow, and we have plans to expand our promotional activities. We welcome new members who can contribute to this industry, which does so much to enhance the reputation of the Isle of Man around the world.”
