Luiz de Basto has unveiled his design concept for a 90 metre Oceanco, design project DP009. DP009 features a superstructure completely finished in reflective glass, providing panoramic views from the interior .
The innovative design also separates the aft- and sidedecks used by the guests, from the sidedecks used by the crew, offering total privacy to guests.
The aft deck of DP009 features a swimming pool that can be converted to a helicopter landing pad. This extensive sun deck will also feature a shaded lounge area for alfresco dining.
Glass is key feature on board, and even the elevator and the main stairways are built in glass. The wheelhouse has a glass sun roof and the wing stations will be fitted with glass floors.
The interior layout places four guest staterooms on the main deck, a VIP cabin on the bridge deck and the owner’s suite strategically on the upper deck for unobstructed views and privacy. From his stateroom, the owner will have acces to a private deck forward, with a Jacuzzi.
One point that had top priority in developing DP009 was to have more than one boarding area. Guests will be able to board the yacht from the swim platform as well as from two folding side doors on the lower deck. There will be two large tender bays aft, that will have room for two ten metre tenders and up to 6-8 wave runners.
