This Gregory C. Marshall Naval Architects design is to Germanischer Lloyd Classification rules and Marshall Island Flag State rules for commercial vessels. The project is managed for the Owner by David F Darwent of Marine Construction Services.

Set to operate in the Pacific for extended periods of time Big Fish is a steel hull and steel frame/composite superstructure construction . With distinctive and unique styling high on the priority list, Big Fish sports a three level atrium and main stairway with a full height feature wall, fold out platforms aft, fold down bulwarks amidships and a 28ft tender under the foredeck. Near full height glass windows on the main, upper deck and pilothouse give unprecedented vistas.

McMullen & Wing will be using 3D CAD-generated modeling and design information to optimise the building of the vessel, meeting a delivery schedule for late 2009.
