Mengi Yay getting ready to deliver superyacht project NB89

Currently being built by the Turkish shipyard Mengi Yay in Istanbul is the superyacht project NB89, now named Pennon. Measuring 36.5 metres in length, she will be delivered soon. Constructed with a wooden hull and superstructure, she features naval architecture and exterior design by the Dutch company Ginton Naval Architects.

She accommodates up to 10 guests over five luxurious cabins, including a large master suite complete with large windows. Elsewhere inside, the saloon also boasts generous spaces whilst a substantial area is allocated for the kitchen on the main deck. Throughout the yacht, her interiors are clean, simple and sophisticated, with a warm colour scheme of creams and different shades of browns utilised to create a relaxed, welcoming ambiance.

In regards to her exterior spaces, project NB89 provides ample spaces dedicated to relaxing and sunbathing. She also features a beautiful shaded dining area to ensure guests can fully enjoy the best of al fresco dining on board. Powered by twin Caterpillar C32 1,925 hp engines. she will have a maximum speed of 24 knots and a cruising speed of 20 knots.

NB89 is one of several projects currently underway at Mengi Yay. Project NB88 measures 33.50 metres and is also due to be completed later this year, and the 26 metre NB92 is due for delivery soon after.
