Breaking news: Motor yacht Mama-G sunk after fire

The Italian media are reporting that the brand new Maori motor yacht Mama-G caught fire in Sardinia and sunk on Thursday October 21st. The four crew onboard issued a Mayday alarm at 19:12.

The blaze was eventually brought under control by the Coast Guard, with the vessel then sinking in waters around 40 metres in depth. Mama-G premiered at this years Cannes Yachting Festival and the vessel, with a dark chocolate hull, was one of the favoured vessels in her category at the event.
