Recently unveiled by Marcelo Penna Yacht Design together with Marcelo Penna Engineering, is the Spanish design studio’s Yacht Shadow Vessel 60. The craft has been designed based upon the company’s MP625 offshore platform, providing excellent sea keeping capabilities, generous on-deck storage and a highly efficient hull shape.
The YSV60 is capable of receiving a large helicopter such as an Airbus H155, and offers safe storage and refueling capabilities in a central hangar. This space is also used to house the vessel’s fleet of tenders, toys, and landing craft in a weather-free environment.
The hydrodynamic shape of the trimaran hull offers a transpacific range while maintaining high speeds. Her small water plane area at surface level aids in added stability due to the reduced affect of ocean conditions on the hull. Not only functional, the YSV60 features accommodation for up to 12 guests as well.
