MYS Preview: Amels to unveil 111m H2-designed concept

A new full custom superyacht concept from Amels will be on display in scale model form during next week’s Monaco Yacht Show. The 111-metre Pollux is designed by H2 Yacht Design based on a technical platform that has been developed by the Amels Design team.

All will be revealed next week, but from these initial renderings a curvy and sculpted profile is revealed that is accentuated by duo-tone paint for an elegant yet powerful look. Jet black superstructure areas give the impression that aft and upper decks are separated from the rest of the yacht and give a floating illusion to these areas.

Our ambition was a design that drew on the AMELS DNA and heritage, but didn’t simply reproduce existing details,” commented Jonny Horsfield, Director H2 Yacht Design. “We have looked forward to the future design direction of the AMELS fleet, whilst maintaining a timeless look that captures the pinnacle of AMELS yacht building.

Just some of the on-deck highlights include a massive swimming pool on the main deck aft, an outdoor lounge complete with a fire pit on sun deck aft, as well as a helicopter landing pad on the flush foredeck.

Designed to meet Passenger Yacht Code regulations, the 4,750 GT Pollux can accommodate 20 guests on board who will be looked after by her 47 professional crew members and captain.
