New 120m superyacht concept by Facheris Design

Florida based design studio Facheris Design have unveiled a new 120 metre superyacht concept named Aqueous 120. The design team drew inspiration from the automotive industry in the same way that aerodynamics plays a role in the actual design of the vehicle. The result is a stunningly dynamic and aggressive silhouette that reveals a uniquely sleek appearance for a vessel of this size, which has earned it a spot in the shortlist for the 2016 International Yacht and Aviation Awards.

Just some of the on board features of the Aqueous 120 include a massive 400 square metre aft deck where a large infinity pool is located, covered by retractable awning. Oversized exterior lounge areas are provided with protection from the elements by the sloping structure, while large cut-outs still offer a good view from this area. Stainless steel accents on the outboard finish of the yacht adds an enriching effect to the overall stealth-like appearance of the yacht, brilliantly reflecting the natural colours of the surroundings.

The unique shape and layout of the external decks means that the only space to safely accommodate a helicopter is on sundeck. When not used for sunbathing, entertaining guests or simply taking in the beautiful scenery, this space is cleared to enable the landing of a helicopter. In addition, two 11 metre tenders are stored within the hull, including a fleet of additional watersports toys.

Power packages are to be finalised, but the use of a smart hybrid propulsion system is a certainty.
