New 35m superyacht concept Black Iceberg

One of the latest designs from the Russian studio of Max Zhivov is the 35 metre Black Iceberg. Inspired by the vessels of the Vikings and the rugged beauty of Scandinavia, she accommodates up to eight guests across two expansive master suites as well as two additional guest cabins.

Speaking to Zhivov, he explains the thinking behind the Black Iceberg concept: “The main focus behind the project is the broken surface on the sides of the yacht that resemble ice blocks. This feature is constructed of carbon, that really offers the yacht an individual look. The interesting thing about this element of Black Iceberg’s design is that it can be utilised on board any boat, totally transforming the exterior in the process. I like the use of carbon when it comes to these elements - it’s a lightweight, durable material which can be used to achieve unique results.

Other notable features include the use of 32 square metres of solar panels on her superstructure. Speed-wise, Black Iceberg will have a cruising speed of 25 knots.
