New 62m sailing superyacht concept Hispaniola

The Parisian designers at Opale Design Studio has recently revealed a new sailing superyacht concept. Measuring 62-metres, Hispaniola accommodates up to eight guests as well as a crew of four on board, and has been designed with providing a unique, authentic sailing charter in mind.

Talking of the design and alluding to two special features on board that will only be revealed once the concept has been sold, naval architect Paul-Henri Decamp says: “This yacht will be chartered, and to offer her passengers unique and unforgettable experiences, this ship has three big innovations: the first is an automated rig able to be used manually like old and true sailors, or completely remotely controlled by the helmsman. The two others concern the living experience aboard which will be only communicate to the buyer of this concept.

Hispaniola was born as an entry to a design competition hosted by the French publication Chasse-Marée.
