Marco Casali of Too Design presented an interesting 90 metre superyacht at the Monaco Yacht Show, as part of the Benetti Innovation Project. The idea behind Cloud 90, the largest of the designer’s three superyacht concept designs, was born from the desire to suspend a cloud above a hull and lock it place with a giant reinforced fashion plate.
The upper deck, with its fully glazed partitions, is completely open plan, like the deck of an aircraft carrier. The wide open spaces are home to two swimming pools, one forward and one aft, surrounded by guest entertainment areas.
The suspended ‘cloud’, painted in white, black or silver, is home to the owners, and offers 360 ° panoramas and large terraces on both sides. The owner’s deck offers plenty of amenities, such as a billiards room, private lounge, office, and a massage area. Down below, a large tender garage allows guests to come and go through a completely private area. In fact, the whole garage can be transformed into the third pool with sea water and guests can swim against a current.
Located behind terraces placed within the hull on the main deck are the main deck dining room and the main entrance.
The outdoor pool deck is suspended aft so as to illuminate the aft entrance of the main deck through the water. It recalls the Roman cavea and the spaces for meditation and relaxation of ancient baths.
