New association to bind top Italian nautical companies

A new association, Nautica Italiana was established today in Milan, whereby 25 brands will be represented by the new association, focused on the development of the nautical industry in the country, and its influences abroad.

Amongst the new group’s initial strategies, will be the reaffirming of the industry’s credibility, an increased presence at the industry’s leading events, and the development of a system to monitor the nautical industry’s performance. The association will be lead by Board members, appointed by the associations founding members, Lamberto Tacoli (Chairman), Luigi Alberto Amico, Cataldo Aprea, Fabio Boschi, and Giovanna Vitelli (Vice Chairpersons); Corrado Salvemini (Director); and Lorenzo Pollicardo (General Secretary).

As part of the association’s vision to pair it’s efforts with like-minded companies, Nautica Italiana has become affiliated with with Altagamma, bringing their experience in the fashion, design, food, hotel, jewelery and automotive industries to the table.

Andrea Illy, Chairman of Fondazione Altagamma, stated: “Eleven of the brands represented by Nautica Italiana have chosen to become members of Fondazione Altagamma, and this is an honor for us, because the Italian nautical industry can boast unique expertise and achievements at the global level."
