New superyachts on SuperyachtTimes.com - 02/2008

New additions to our database include the 35 metre Sovereign Golden Boy II, which is owned by one the youngest owners (24 years) in the industry. The classic Celestial (photo), build by De Beers in 1963, is new and another new classic is the 37.8 metre Bayou, build by Breaux Borthers in 1979. Other new motor yacht additions are Feadship’s Sea Ghost, Christensen’s Atlantica, the Benetti Vision Smile and Costa Brava III.

Three new sailings yachts this week; Ganesha (photo), Dark Shadow and Polaris. Ganesha was built by Fitzory yachts in 2006 as Zulu. Dark Shadow, who participated in the Transatlantic Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup last month, is a 30 metre Wally build in 2002 and Polaris is a Lürssen built in 1954.

Updates and additions to the order book this week include three new CRN Yachts. Among the new CRN orders is their biggest yacht to date, the 75 metre project 129. She was ordered by a Middle Eastern client and delivery is scheduled in December 2011.

Dominator also entered the superyacht scene with the signing of 4 orders over 30 metres. Two Dominator 115’s and two 105’s. These yachts have some interesting features, like a private swim platform for the owner at his suite.

The Christensen order book was also updated with 4 new orders and the names of hull 35, Nice N’ Easy II, and hull 36, Liquidity III, were also updated.
