At the same time, the company announces the sale of another 56m aluminium ketch, which will be delivered in the summer of 2010. Thanks to this new contract, the 56m class has reached 10 units sold in 5 years.

In the words of Giancarlo Ragnetti, CEO of Perini Navi , “the delivery of Silvana and the signing of the sales contract for the 10th unit of the 56m class, reaffirm the success of this class of sailing yachts and will allow us to begin 2009 with optimism and appreciation of our clients' continued confidence."

S/Y Silvana, 56 m aluminium ketch
Designed by Perini Navi’s naval architects, Silvana boasts an ultra-light streamlined aluminium hull with maximum displacement optimized at 540 tons in order to guarantee both high sailing performances and extreme comfort. Both masts, the 58.8m main mast and the 48.26m mizzen, are also in aluminium, while the furling boom is in carbon fibre. Total sail area is expected to reach 1,500 m². The interiors, designed by the Perini Navi team, are based on an unobtrusive, classical elegance.

Silvana is the sixth 56m sailing yacht realised by Perini Navi. The first 56m, Burrasca, was launched in 2003, and was then followed by Santa Maria (now Zenji), Rosehearty, Selene and Salute.
